Celebrate National Dentist's Day with Emojis

  • Dental lab coat 🥼
  • Dentist / dental hygienist / health worker 🧑‍⚕️
  • Dentist's office / doctor's office 🏢
  • Syringe / anesthesia 💉
  • Appointment 📅
  • Mouth 👄
  • Tooth fairy 🧚‍♀️🧚
  • Toothbrush 🪥
  • Sparkly clean teeth 🦷✨
  • Bonus: Toothy text

After you've finished staring at your pearly whites in the mirror, and have scheduled your next dentist's appointment, it's time to celebrate National Dentist's Day with some emojis. What better way to show your dentist how much you cherish and appreciate them, then to text them your favorite dental emojis? If you're not able to celebrate by sharing these emojis with your dentist this year, don't fret. National Dentist's Day is observed every March 6th.

Dental lab coat 🥼

The lab coat emoji isn't just used for scientists! Dentists, hygienists and dental technicians are all dental professions that make use of this fashionable, white coat. Besides being a great source of PPE (personal protective equipment), lab coats are great for accidental messes on the job or when mixing and disposing of hazardous materials.

Dentist / dental hygienist / health worker 🧑‍⚕️

Dentists are the epitome of health workers; they are doctors for your teeth! The health worker emoji is a perfect fit for dentists. Besides enduring grueling university courses, long lectures and taking on huge student tuition fees, dentists also undergo extreme daily stress and responsibility working with essential AND esthetic cases.

Dentist's office / doctor's office 🏢

Most dental offices are located directly in office buildings, often working alongside other specialists and physicians in various medical fields. You can use the office building emoji to represent the sort of place where you'll find your local dentist, denturist, orthodontist and/or hygienist!

Syringe / anesthesia 💉

When undergoing a multitude of different dental procedures, needles and syringes are sure to be involved (and that is where the syringe emoji comes into play). This is because of the numbing agent (local anesthesia) that is injected into your gums, numbing the whole quadrant of dentition (or sometimes the whole arch!) in order to perform routine dental care, such as extracting wisdom teeth or filling a perky cavity.

Appointment 📅

Anyone who has ever visited the dentist has been asked to return every six months for a routine checkup and potential tooth cleaning/descaling. But does anyone actually follow that advice? If you don’t, now is a great time to start! The calendar emoji is the perfect representation of marking your calendar and finding time in your busy schedule to make that important trip to the dentist. Who knows? It may very well improve your overall tooth and gum health!

Mouth 👄

The mouth emoji is exactly what it sounds like. With a pair of red, luscious lips and a row of pearly, white teeth sticking out from under the top lip, this emoji is exactly what you would think about when imagining the dentist (besides loud drills and clean, sterile environments, of course).

Tooth fairy 🧚‍♀️🧚

The fairy emoji is often used within the dental community to portray (you guessed it) the tooth fairy! This lovely lady is the source of every kid’s joy, when they wake up the day after losing a tooth, with money under their pillow and their baby tooth mysteriously missing. With the work that dentists do on a daily basis, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to call their skills magical!

Toothbrush 🪥

If your dentist doesn't tell you to brush your teeth (and make you feel a little guilty about not flossing often enough) they wouldn't be doing their job. A dental cleaning visit isn't complete without a little goodie bag containing (among other things) a new toothbrush. This toothbrush emoji reminds us how important it is to brush, floss, and rinse twice a day.

Sparkly clean teeth 🦷✨

You want the tooth? You can't handle the tooth! A visit to the dentist often involves getting your teeth probed, cleaned, and x-rayed. The tooth emoji can be used on its own, or alongside the other emojis we've mentioned, to discuss all things dental. Pro tip: combine the tooth emoji with the sparkle emoji to make things really shine.

Bonus: Toothy text

dentist-day-unicode-tweet.png Why stop at emojis? Get creative with YayText's bubble text and strikethrough styles, to make your text look like teeth and braces. Then, combine the unicode text you generate with the dental emojis above, to create truly unique texts and tweets about dentistry and good oral hygiene.

Happy National Dentist's Day! And, don't forget to brush your tongue. 😜
