The flag of Singapore emoji has a red stripe on the top half and a white stripe on the bottom half. On the left side of the red stripe sits a white half-moon with 5 white stars directly to the right of the moon. The flag was adopted in 1959 and was reconfirmed in 1965 when Singapore gained independence from Malaysia. The red color represents equality of men, the white symbolizes purity and virtue, the crescent moon symbolizes a young nation, and the 5 stars represent democracy, peace, progress, justice, and equality.
