Considered a dependent territory of New Zealand, Tokelau adopted their official flag in 2009. The flag emoji of Tokelau consist of a navy blue background with a yellow Tokelauan canoe and four stars representing the Southern cross. The canoe represents the journey into the future for the territory's people while the stars serve as a way to navigate the waters.
