Trinidad and Tobago adopted their flag in August 1962 after declaring independence from the United Kingdom. The flag emoji of Trinidad and Tobago is made up of a red background with a black stripe running diagonally from the top left to the bottom right. The black stripe is edged in white. Each color has a significance: red represents fire, black symbolizes the earth and white is meant to be water and purity.
